![]() Eli Seals is the Lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist for Eli Seals and Alibi. Eli has an incredible vocal range, and exhibits a vocal power and smoothness not often heard. His ability to effortlessly change from a slow ballad to an upbeat fast tempo tune are reminiscent of some of the great singers in country music. The power and emotion his voice pours into his ballads will bring tears to your eyes. His heart is in his music, and is reflected in his voice. Eli's songwriting abilities have been recognized nationally, and include recognition fron Songwriters Hall of Fame member Red Lane, who has been most impressed with Eli's songs. Eli has been in the music business for more than 15 years now. He grew up in the Thomas Louisiana Community....a respected singer/songwriter. Eli and his band have "opened up" for the likes of George Jones, Ricky Scaggs, Billy Joe Royal, Merle Haggard and T. Graham Brown just to name a few. Eli also has been the half-time entertainer in the Super Dome for a Saints game. You should have been there for that!!! He has performed in fairs, festivals, and clubs all over the south....from Nashville to Florabama....he has done it all. It is a personal favorite to perform for community and civic events, as well as fundraisers for any worthy cause. Eli and the band are available for private functions also. ![]() Drummer Man Dan is the drummer and background vocals for Eli Seals and Alibi. Dan has been playing the drums since the age of 10, when he fell in love with a gold sparkle snare drum at the local music store and begged his parents to drive through a heavy snowstorm to buy it. They made it through that snowstorm, and Dan had his gold sparkle snare drum. That was it. He never looked back. Dan has played with many groups throughout his career (more then I can honestly remember), most notably the “Knight Brothers” :a Maryland Based Nashville Recording group. “They were incredible vocalists, and it was by far the most talented group of musicians and vocalists I had ever worked with”. And then.... In 2005 Dan moved to Louisiana and settled his family in Covington. “I was really considering giving up music”. But then I got an email asking me if I was available to audition for Eli Seals. I paid Eli a lot of money at the audition and It seemed like a perfect fit, and the rest is history so to speak. Music is fun again, and I’m working with some incredible talent. Dan uses Pearls Reference and Masters Series Drums, Hardware, and their INCREDIBLE Eliminator Pedals exclusively! He is very happy to be endorsing Randall May Microphone Systems. If you're serious about your drum sound, their is NO other choice! Thank you Randy! Dan also uses Paiste and Sabian Cymbals, Evans Heads, Pro-Mark sticks, along with Audix, Shure, and Crown mics. Thank you Al Percival, Dave Lena, and all the wonderful people at Pearl Corporation for their help and ongoing support! ![]() I also have to give a BIG THANK YOU to Jaime Forkum and the entire gang at Forks Drum Closet in Nashville. Thank you for still caring about both the customer and the drummers out there trying to make a living doing what they love. I appreciate all you do! Thank you Jaime! You can get to know Dan even better at www.drummermandan.com |

Carey Hymel carries the bottom end for Eli and the boys. Carey has been playing bass since Moses lead his peeps out of that bad place to that better place...He kept the cadence for the group as they took their little journey. Apparently Moses told Carey to slap that thing and make it funky! Carey hasn't stopped slapping that thing since, and talk about funky....
Carey is the comic relief for Eli and the boys. He keeps us entertained all night long, and still keeps the bottom locked in at the same time. He thinks Dan is the greatest drummer EVER by the way! And Dan thinks Carey is the greatest Bass player ever! Hey, this drummer knows how to make friends and influence people... Carey has played with so many bands and big name acts that he needs his own website to list them all. But most importantly, he now plays for Eli and keeps us locked in and laughing every night. Nothing else really matters! |

He's back. The King of Swing, the man who put the blue in blues, he's back to add his signature guitar sound to the music of Eli Seals. Hilton King plays lead and rhythm guitars and occasionally grabs the microphone and sings a few little ditties himself. Hilton has been playing lead guitar for Eli for more then 10 years now. He brings a sound and style to Eli's Music that can't be found anywhere else. We're thrilled to have him back!
He's also half of the Hilton-Hymel Comedy show on stage wherever we happen to be playing. |
